JDR has a proven track record around the world delivering a series of challenging cable and umbilical projects that have required in-house engineering expertise, specialised termination components and collaboration with the client throughout the design phase.

JDR Umbilical Systems serves the international offshore oil and gas sector, specifically subsea field developments, through well-equipped and strategically located facilities.

The UK facility at Littleport, near Cambridge provides general management, design, project management, R&D, manufacturing of IWOCS Umbilicals, Subsea Production Umbilicals, and Power Cables up to 100 tonnes in size. This facility also has specialised testing facilities and supplies critical components for the manufacture of JDR umbilicals in Asia Pacific and the USA.

The Asia Pacific facility, located at the Royal Thai naval base in Sattahip, Thailand, manufactures Subsea Production Umbilicals, Power Cables, and Associated Products up to 300 tonnes in size. The facility includes 12 meter deep quayside access for direct loadout to installation and/or freight vessels.

The USA facility based in Houston, Texas, provides assembly, integration & testing of umbilicals, reelers and associated packages. Houston-based project management & engineering support is available for projects in the Gulf of Mexico, as well as offshore commissioning, testing and repair work.

The new UK deep water quayside facility based in Hartlepool on the north east coast of England includes a 100,000 sq ft factory housing state-of-the-art cable manufacturing plant delivering umbilicals and subsea power cables weighing up to 2200 tonnes. These can be spooled directly from the factory to offshore cable laying vessels moored on the deep water quay as well as on to installation reels up to 9.2m in diameter.
