To keep pace with the expanding global Seismic and Defense markets, JDR Smart Solutions has relocated to a new facility in Rotterdam. Increased production efficiency, the opportunity for further expansion and the strategic location on the water were the primary considerations in the decision to relocate and build a new facility.

The Rotterdam facility, a brand new purpose built factory at the industrial park of ‘De Zaag’ in Krimpen aan de Lek, now provides more than double the production capacity of the previous facility in Capelle with total area increasing more than fourfold to 22,500 m2.

Located within just a few kilometers of the original factory in Capelle, continuity in maintaining a skilled workforce was also a priority. The new location also opened up the possibility of storing, transporting longer and heavier reelers and cables by water as the industry continues to explore and drill in deeper waters.

New and existing partnerships are being developed and strengthened with evolving technology, design expertise along with enhanced manufacturing and service capabilities worldwide. JDR Smart Solutions has now clearly positioned itself for the future to continue as a leading provider of subsea cable and umbilical solutions.
