| Cables and umbilicals used for offshore hydrocarbon exploration and oceanographic research generally operate in the aggressive surface zone and are subjected to the most physically demanding conditions. Their performance and reliability are critical to efficient and economic data acquisition.
 JDR is the frontrunner in design and engineering of smart solutions, which incorporate both strength, data and power transfer into small diameter lead-in cables for offshore seismic exploration. Often, lead-in cables are designed in close cooperation with customers in order to achieve the optimum configuration for strength and signal/power distribution, whilst maintaining minimum outside diameter. Our lead-in cables are in use with major offshore seismic operators worldwide and are well-known for their reliability and durability.
The termination of lead-in cables is also performed in-house, where we apply fairings and terminations, providing a turnkey solution to our clients. For new applications, we have experience in performing design studies and running qualification tests. |
