SUBSEA ISOLATION VALVE UMBILICALS (SSIV)

JDR Umbilical Systems is the world's leading provider of Subsea Isolation Valve (SSIV) umbilical systems. JDR has the manufacturing capabilities to produce SSIV umbilicals in accordance with the highest standards including API17E/ISO13638-5. JDR is accredited to ISO9001-2000 manufacturing standard and is in the process of gaining the ISO14001 environmental standard, thus showing our commitment to quality, health, safety and environmental issues.

SSIV umbilicals can comprise both hydraulic and electrical functionality to hydraulically shut the valve in the event of an emergency within the pipeline, and electrically to monitor the closure of the valves as verification that the valves are closed. SSIV umbilicals are manufactured using torsionally balanced, galvanized steel wire armor to give maximum strength to protect the umbilical during installation and service/fatigue performance in dynamic systems.

JDR provides a full range of termination components to include topside termination junction boxes, topside termination assemblies, bend stiffeners, mid-water arch clamps and subsea termination assemblies. We also provide hydraulic couplers and electrical connectors that are terminated in house by experienced and fully trained personnel.



Our manufacturing facilities have a complete range of test equipment to enable full factory acceptance and system integration tests to be carried out prior to the SSIV umbilicals leaving the JDR's factory. This means that when it arrives on site it's ready to 'plug and play' without any further tests needed unless specifically requested.

JDR has a large team of fully trained and certified offshore engineers that can work offshore in assisting with the installation and commissioning of our SSIV umbilicals. The team is fully equipped for rapid mobilization to anywhere in the world that their services are needed. This means that our customers can install JDR's SSIV umbilicals safe in the knowledge that, with our service provider philosophy and our experience of manufacturing umbilical assemblies, our products will achieve the optimum performance from day one and throughout the design life of the field.
