SUBSEA PRODUCTION UMBILICALS (SPU)

JDR Umbilical Systems provides Subsea Production Umbilicals (SPU's) used to tieback subsea trees to fixed platforms, FPSO's and land based facilities. JDR is fully accredited to ISO9001 and has the engineering, manufacturing and testing capabilities to build SPU umbilical systems in accordance with the latest ISO 13628-5/API 17E specs.

JDR has provided a number of SPU umbilical systems for various subsea fields around the world. This SPU product specific experience, coupled with its vast IWOC umbilical experience, gives JDR a significant track record with most of the major SUBSEA operators/ Historically, JDR has produced SPU's at the Littleport England facility. The England facility has been limited by product size constraints, due to its inland location, which has limited SPU lengths to around 4-6 kms. JDR now offers SPU's with virtually no length or weight constraints, from its new Thailand manufacturing facility that has a deepwater quayside access.

JDR's Project Management and Technical/Design support is second to none in its commitment to supplying a fully engineered product to site, right first time and on time. Our reporting structure and documentation submission is bi-weekly as a standard but we are fully committed to supplying all relevant information to the customer as required on a project-by-project basis.

JDR offers full Dynamic Analysis, Fatigue Analysis and Seabed Stability Analysis to prove the SPU umbilical system design suitability. Actual qualification testing can also be conducted to verify the design analysis work.

JDR has a large team of fully trained and certified offshore engineers that can work offshore in assisting with the installation, testing and commissioning of our SPU umbilicals. The teams are fully equipped for rapid mobilization to anywhere in the world. This means that our customers can install JDR's SPU umbilicals safe in the knowledge that, with our service provider philosophy and our experience of manufacturing umbilical assemblies, our products will achieve the optimum performance from day one and throughout the design life of the field.
