Today at the CRU Wire & Cable Conference in Prague, @Joseph Cole, Technology Manager – Power Cables, shared the challenges JDR is addressing in offshore cable development.
Joe presented on the topic “132 kV Subsea Cables: The Next Generation”, highlighting offshore trends driving the move towards 132 kV, different subsea cable constructions, and the distinctions between static and dynamic cable designs. He also provided an overview of JDR’s Advanced High-Voltage Export and Array Dynamic \(AHEAD\) development, supported by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero \(DESNZ\).
