With the introduction of the Clean Industry Bonus \(CIB\) in Allocation Round 7, sustainability has become a core requirement for offshore wind projects — and expectations are only set to increase in AR8 and beyond.
In a recently published blog article, @Elgan Hallett, Sustainability Manager at JDR Cable Systems, explains how sustainable supply chains are now critical to success. The article looks at the growing importance of science-based targets \(SBTi\), tackling Scope 3 emissions through supplier engagement, investment in UK-based manufacturing and infrastructure, and the rising role of social value and skills development in future allocation rounds.
