6th March 2026
JDR Cable Systems attended the Green Energy Careers Roadshow at the Energy Central Learning Hub in Blyth, engaging with over 150 KS4 and post-16 students to highlight the wide range of career opportunities within the growing green energy sector. The fast-paced, interactive event gave students the chance to meet employers, learn about the skills needed for the future workforce, and explore the many pathways available into the industry. Through small-group employer rotations, students spent time speaking directly with organisations about real roles, career journeys and what it takes to build a future in clean energy.
It was fantastic to see so much curiosity and enthusiasm from the students, and JDR is proud to play a small part in helping inspire and develop the next generation of talent that will power the North East’s green energy future.
