JDR wins top Business Growth Award

: 25 November 2013: JDR, a leading provider of subsea technology connecting the offshore energy industry has won the Business Growth Award at the EEF 2013 Future Manufacturing Awards for the South-East Region.

The regional awards recognise UK companies that have delivered dramatic business growth through actively managed and consistently delivered growth strategies.  As a regional winner, JDR will now go forward to the National Awards, which will be announced on 30January 2014. The EEF Future Manufacturing Awards also recognised JDR’s success in export markets; JDR was a runner-up in the Export Growth category for manufacturers that have successfully grown exports into their existing markets.

The judges said in awarding JDR the Business Growth Award, “The winner delivered an ambitious product led strategy identifying different markets and different forms of power generation to spread out peaks and troughs. The results have been significant – orders have increased by 68% and 150 new positions have been filled.”

When announcing JDR as the runner-up in the Export Growth category, the judges said: “This was a good story of geographic and product expansion backed by manufacturing investment and supported by an excellent marketing campaign. JDR has exceeded their targets with 80% of products and services being delivered to overseas markets.”
